first_imgSamsung silently launched the Galaxy Wide 2 today. Samsung Galaxy Wide 2 is the successor of the Galaxy Wide that was launched last year. At the moment, the new Galaxy Wide 2 is only launched in South Korea, however, the device may enter other markets, including India later in a few days. Although we aren’t pretty much sure about it as of now.In terms of specifications, the newly announced Galaxy Wide 2 comes packed with an octa-core 1.6 GHz processor. To recall, its predecessor — Galaxy Wide is powered by Snapdragon 410 SoC with quad-core 1.2GHz processor. Samsung Galaxy Wide 2 sports a 5.5-inch HD display, similar to that of the Galaxy Wide which also equipped similar display.On the camera front, the Galaxy Wide 2 yet again feature a similar optics set up as the Galaxy Wide. Samsung Galaxy Wide 2 sports a 13-megapixel camera on the rear, while on the front the device sports a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. Storage wise the smartphone comes with 16GB storage memory coupled with 2GB of RAM.This when compared to the Galaxy Wide, is a lot better and improved version of it. Galaxy Wide runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. However, the battery set up is the same. Samsung is also working on a range of device for the near future. The most anticipated of the lot is the successor of the fiery Note 7, which is dubbed as Note 8. If the rumorus are to be believed, Note 8 will sport improved features, better battery and will also deliver a great performance. The South Korean smartphone maker is also working on launching the refurbished version of the Note 7, which the company has reportedly decided to call it as – Note 7R.
