first_imgNew Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah appears to have taken a dim view of the recent vandalization incident that took place in Hauz Khazi in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk area on June 30. Sources told news agency ANI that Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik was summoned by Amit Shah and reprimanded. Meanwhile, Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik said after his meeting with Amit Shah: “I have briefed him about the situation here. Things are now normal in the Hauz Qazi area. 4 people have been arrested.” A clash had broken out between two groups over parking and a temple was vandalised on June 30. Meanwhile, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy tweeted that he was happy to ‘learn from party sources’ that Amit Shah would ‘directly deal with the Delhi Police’.(With inputs from DNA)last_img
