SAT scores improve across MiamiDade Public Schools

first_imgMIAMI (WSVN) – Miami-Dade County Public Schools officials announced on Friday that the district’s average SAT scores improved while scores across the nation declined.Scores showed a 16 point increase for reading, 13 point increase for writing and 12 point increase for math among seniors in the district.Superintendent Alberto Carvalho said he was proud of the district.“This is probably the best news we could get in terms of an honest, strong predictor of college readiness and college success,” Carvalho said.Scores across other parts of the state went down by five percent in each of the three categories.Copyright 2019 Sunbeam Television Corp.
